Born in Bandung, Indonesia in 1973. Henricus Kusbiantoro plays a key and pivotal role for designing brand expression of The Global Red Campaign of Bono U2 for AIDS in Africa launched in World Economic Forum 2006, Davos-Switzerland.

Henricus Kusbiantoro joined headquarter of Landor Associates-San Francisco in early 2006 as senior art director in branding and corporate identity. He is also an adjunct instructor of directed research studies at Graduate Graphic Design Department in Academy of Art University, San Francisco.

Henricus started his very early career in Jakarta at LeBoYe design studio in 1996 before moving to New York City and working for the legendary New York design firm Pushpin Studio under Seymour Chwast and D.K. Holland. He then joined the world class New York corporate identity design practice Chermayeff and Geismar Inc and specialized in creating identities. Later his design talent has developed with Wolff Olins New York, a London based worldwide innovative brand consultant, where he was redesigning the overall new brand expression and graphic system of General Electric (GE) globally launched in July 2004.

Henricus’ works have been covered in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, TIME and Fortune Magazine. He has worked on designing identities for numerous prestigious global clients and small non profit organizations but never forget to express his graphic experiments in every medium included independent street posters. One of his urban serial posters were dedicated for the Jogja-Central Java Earthquake public awareness and demonstrated in the streets of New York City and San Francisco in June 2006.

Briefly trained design at Trisakti University-Jakarta, Henricus Kusbiantoro graduated from ITB School of Art and Design-Bandung and obtained a Master of Fine Arts Degree (MFA) in Communication Design at New York’s Pratt Institute, both awarded the highest achievements.

In his free time, Henricus can be found hiking on the mountains and enjoy playing with his son, Theo.
